Welcome to Paramita. Our name comes from the Sanskrit para = "beyond" mita = "limitation". It is our goal to facilitate artistic growth of the performers, staff and artistic staff through creative interaction. Resulting works would enhance world community understanding and stimulate the imaginative processes of all participants, including citizen-performers and audiences. Because of the founders' John Craig Cooper and John McConville unique artistic experiences with Asian cultures, it is of particular interest to Paramita to integrate Oriental and Occidental performance styles and encourage collaboration between artists of Asia and the West. read more about our goals in the ABOUT section. listen to John C.
